Coffs Harbour, Nambucca and Bellingen Councils have different Bulky Household Waste services. These services are only available to households paying a domestic waste charge, and are not available to businesses.
If you need further information, please call the CCWS Hotline on 1800 265 495.
Coffs Harbour City Council has introduced improvements to the bulky household waste service available to all households paying a Domestic Waste Occupied Land charge. This will lead to improved street amenity as well as maximising material recovery and recycling, whilst still providing up to four (4) bulky goods services per year.
Coffs Harbour City Council provides eligible households with two options for disposing their bulky waste items:
Booked in kerbside collections are to be no more than three cubic metres in size. Self-haul vouchers are limited to no more than 200kg per voucher, and up to three cubic metres in size. Accepted vehicles include: sedans, stations wagons, utility and standard box trailers without size extensions. No light trucks.
Coffs Coast Waste Services is a shared waste contract between Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca Councils. There are two periods when the contractor is servicing the other two Council areas and is unavailable for collections within Coffs Harbour.
The service is unavailable in Coffs Harbour between 19th December 2022 and 2nd January 2023.
However, Residents can still call the hotline on 1800 265 495 and book in a collection during this time, and the first available date will be allocated outside these periods.
Collections will not be available on public holidays, or over the Christmas Period between 25 December 2018 and 4 January 2019.
Kerbside Bulky Household Waste Collection - Eligible Domestic (Town) Properties: Eligible residential properties which have the 3-bin system receive one (1) scheduled bulky household waste collection each year. Households may place up to 3 cubic metres of bulky waste kerbside for collection. Collection areas will be split in to 10 zones, with each zone assigned a separate collection week.
Each voucher entitles you to take up to three cubic metres (approx. 1 box trailer load) of bulky household waste to the Nambucca Waste Management Facility for free disposal. The vouchers have a unique serial number which will be allocated to your address and will not be transferable. Present your voucher to the staff at the Nambucca Waste Management Facility and they will check your waste to ensure it fits within the guidelines and will ask you to confirm your name and address.
Please note that 1 voucher per three cubic metre trailer load is allowed and all waste materials must be separated at the site accordingly. The following items will NOT be accepted at the Nambucca Heads Waste Management Facility using your Bulky Goods Voucher: Tyres, deceased animals, liquid waste, medical waste, syringes, contaminated soil, fill, asbestos, oyster sticks.
